“And by the way, everything in life is writable about if you have the outgoing guts to do it, and the imagination to improvise. The worst enemy to creativity is self-doubt.”

– Sylvia Plath

What is a Map?

A map is make up of what we know is to be true/what is there. It is something that guides us through our way of life, physically and mentally. Maps can be all different types from physical to theoretical. In my prospective, to make up a map, it has to have landmarks. This can be applied in anytype of map as well. Take Genetic mapping for example. It is a map because it shows us where the landmarks (body parts) lies in our genetic make up and tells us, “this is where body part ‘XYZ,’” will be placed when we are born. Same as a road map or the map of the world. It allows us to see where the landmarks (actual places) are around the world. Without maps, we would never have the essential tools for naviagation, planning, and understandin spatial contexts both in a geographical sense and a mental sense.
