I would map all the places where women are CEOs in the world compared to men. Maybe this to combat the glass ceiling theory or the glass escalator theory to show how it is still so unfair that women are not able to climb the workforce ladder as fast as men in this day and age. This is something that strikes passion for me because my mom actually faced this struggle throughout her work life and her taking 10+ years to become Vice President of Marsh took her blood, sweat, and tears. However, even though she was able to get this high of position, she still does not get paid as much as other male employee that are at the same “level” of position or even below her. Using GIS to map this could be beneficial to the world as an eye opener to show the world the inequalities that still stand even after women fought for this right for so long in history.
